Hi. my name is Mara and I'm a quilter.

I started Flying Goose in 2003, and I won't pretend I could stop quilting, even if I wanted to.

For me, quilting offers the perfect blend of thinking and doing, being with others and being alone, giving to my community and nourishing my own soul.

I'm happy to show you how to do anything I can do on a long arm, and I'm always interested in quilting well-pieced tops.

I don't have regular business hours, so please make an appointment before you come. I'm usually here, buzzing away with headphones on, so I might not hear the phone ring, but if you leave a message on the machine or shoot me an e-mail, I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
